Plan de la Tour

Plan de la Tour is a beautiful little village surrounded by pine forests at the heart of the Maures hills. This serene village offers all the charm of a typical Provencal village with its narrow streets and quaint buildings. It has many excellent restaurants , a vibrant weekly market and all the amenities for a perfect holiday.

Because of its situation away from the coast and because it has busy passing traffic it continues to offer a relaxed pace of life but is still on the edge of the more livelier spots in the area. Ste Maxime and the beaches are 8 kms and St Tropez 20kms.

Sainte -Maxime

Sainte- Maxime is a sophisticated and family-minded destination, it offers an exceptionnal climate with about 300 sunny days per year and a winter temperature ranging from 12 to 19 Celsius degrees.

Sainte-Maxime represents essence of Provence with its 11 kilometres of mediterranean shoreline, its colourful markets selling local produce, its pretty shopping streets and its many cafes and restaurants along its tree-shaded “promenade”.

Situated across the bay from Saint Tropez it provides an easy gateway to the rest of the coastal villages with its half hourly “navettes” (boats) which are an easy and pleasant way to visit other villages along the coastline of the gulf of Saint Tropez such as Port Grimaud and Saint Tropez.

Saint Tropez

Saint Tropez became "St. Trop" when the show business people, artists and writers all fell under the spell of this charming little port in the 1950's. it is most-enduringly known as the place the iconic Brigitte Bardot "discovered" and for its role in the liberation of southern France during World War II
In Saint Tropez everything is famous :
- Beaches : Bouillabaisse Beach, Caneliers Beach, Salins Beach; there are at least 40 on the
Baie de Pampelonne

People watching is a favourite sport here in the summer, Visitors like to sit at the outdoor cafés hoping either to be seen or to see someone else. Competition is rife. Huge yachts line up in the port to see which is the biggest, the prettiest, the best kept, or has the snappiest crew.

Early in the morning at the Place aux Herbes one can find fruit vegetables and flowers and watch the local fishermen selling their new catch.
Again all the charm of a typical provencal village with a touch of glitz!
